How to use OnlineMotorcyclist.co.uk -  Motorcycle Web Directory

I have designed this website to be easy to navigate. However, you may find the contents of this page useful to help you get the best out of the directory.

As some users may not be entirely familiar with using websites, I have included some basic tips to help you get the best out of your search. 

The basics:

Breadcrumb Trails

When you visit a category within this website, the page title appears in dark red text in a 'breadcrumb trail' at the top of the page, and as you then visit sub page(s) within that category, the previous page title(s) are then shown in black.
Hovering your mouse over the previous page title(s) turns the text blue.
Clicking on the blue text takes you back to that page.
This enables you to navigate backwards to where you have come from without having to return all the way to the main category link or home page.

If you click on a link and then find that the breadcrumb trail is not showing your previous page, this is because the link took you to another category.
To return to the previous page, click the 'back' button on your browser. This is the left arrow at the top left of your screen.

Links

When you see a word that is underlined on a website, this is usually a link. By clicking on the link, you will be directed to another page or another website.

There are three main ways to obtain your search result within this website.

1. Using the category links on the left of the website.

Just click the relevant navigation link to the left to take you to the main page of your chosen category, then use the sub-menus on that page to find what you are looking for.

2. Using the the Site Map where you can see pages listed.

You can then click on the page link from within the site map.

3. Using the "Search Tool" at the top of the home page.

To improve your chance of finding what you are looking for, please take note of the following search tip example.

You may be searching for a wheel rebuilder.

A motorcycle restoration specialist may be listed under 'Restoration', but he may also offer a wheel rebuilding service, in which case, he should mention this in his listing.

So to find a list of pages containing the word 'wheel', or any other search term, use the 'Search Tool' instead of the navigation links or site map.

Just type in your search word, click on search and you will see a list of links to pages within the directory containing your search word.

You can then click on one of the links to take you to a page. If you want to go back to the search list, just click the 'back' button (left arrow) at the top left of your browser.

If you are looking for a list of businesses within a particular area, just type the county, town or the first half of the postcode in the search box.

Please note that the search tool looks for exactly what you type in, so it is best to search for one major keyword rather than a phrase.
